One-Loft Race Rules and Entry Form

$5000 FIRST PLACE, BASED ON 200 BIRD ENTRY

Race Rules:

1. Limit:  Two primary birds per participant. One backup bird per two bird entry.

2. If both primary birds are in the loft November 1, 2001, the backup bird can be entered in the race, by the breeder, if they pay the $100 entry fee by November 15, 2001.

3. Backup birds not entered in the race as of shipping night will be auctioned.  The bidding will start at $100.  The winning bidder will be consider the breeder with respect to prize money for the race.

4. $25.00 perch fee for each bird including backup birds.

5. $100.00 entry fee, per primary birds, due when you ship your birds to the designed person in charge of receiving the birds.  (June 1, 2001 to July 31, 2001)

6. Birds will be accepted June 1 thru July 31, 2001.

7. Race distance 300 miles.

8. No birds will be encouraged to trap by the handlers, but will be left to trap at will.  Placings and payout will be as the clock reads.  (TauRIS electronic clock will be used)

9. Calcutta shipping night January 11, 2002.

10. Pools and Calcutta will be cut by 15%.

11. Pooling available to breeders only, shipping night January 11.  Pooling open to anyone race day, January 12 until 12:00 noon.

12. 100% of entry fee paid back as prize money.

13. Birds can be bonded by breeder prior to race for $75.00, if not bonded, birds will be auctioned in a high/low Calcutta.  Bonded birds will be in the high Calcutta, at $75.00, but will sell in the low Calcutta.  Bonding money must be received by January 10, 2002.

14. Birds bonded by owner prior to Calcutta, become the property of owner after the race.  The person purchasing the rest of the birds in the high Calcutta will be the owner of that bird after the race.

15. Race shipped Friday evening January 11, 2002.

16. Person managing the race loft will not enter birds in race.

17. No training tosses will be timed.

 It would be best to ship birds on Monday or Tuesday .  Birds arriving before June 1, 2001 will be returned at breeders expense.  No bird accepted after July 31, 2001.
